Server/Database upgrade/migration

If you are considering migrating your databases/applications, some adjustments are required on our side to ensure that all systems remain fully operational. Depending on your current versions, an application upgrade may also be required. Below you can find what information we would like to receive once you request a migration/upgrade. 

This will contribute to an efficient process, and we can quickly advise you on the work that will be required from us. 

Database Migration/Upgrade

If you are planning to start a SQL server update and/or database migration, it is important that we receive certain information from you before starting this.

Here are the questions to answer for a SQL server update and/or database migration:

  1. Does it involve Easy Systems application databases and/or financial package databases?
  2. Does it involve a database upgrade and/or migration?
    1. If it involves a migration, what will the new server be?
    2. If it involves a migration, are you currently using Linked Servers on your current database server (this is often applicable when using Isah Logistics)?
  3. What are the current SQL server versions and which versions do you want to upgrade to?
  4. What are the versions of your Easy Systems applications?
    1. Easy Invoice *
    2. ImageCapture **

Server Migration/Upgrade

If you are planning to migrate the Easy Systems applications to a new server or upgrade the current server on which our applications are installed, we need some information here too.

Here are the questions to answer for a server upgrade/migration:

  1. Does it only include the Easy Systems applications or also your financial package?
  2. Does it involve a server upgrade and/or migration?
    1. If it is a migration, what will the new server be?
  3. What are the current server versions and which versions do you want to upgrade to?
  4. What are the versions of your Easy Systems applications?

Finding out the application versions:

* Easy Invoice

Open Easy Invoice, navigate to the 'Manage' > 'Info' option. This describes which version of Easy Invoice you are currently using.

** ImageCapture

When opening the ImageCapture Client, you will see the version of the application in the bar at the top of the screen.

*** Application Pools

The 'Internet Information Services (IIS)' on the application server contains the application pools. We would like to receive a screenshot of these.
