When linking an attachment in Easy Invoice, you may have received the message 'File type not allowed'. For example, when you try to link a .TIF image from an invoice scan. By default, this file format is not allowed in Easy Invoice.
- Adding an attachment to an invoice
- Upload attachment as a file in order to link it to the invoice.
Unknown attachment type
In the interests of digital security, Easy Invoice only allows files of known formats to be attached. However, if you have attachments that cannot be linked by default, you can add the desired file format to Easy Invoice using the following steps. This allows you to attach these files as attachments to your invoices. You will need a user account with 'Application management' and 'Functional management' roles to do this.
Steps to follow:
- In Easy Invoice, navigate to 'Management' > 'Advanced' and select the 'Attachment file types *' option.
- Is the desired extension not in the list? Then add it by pressing the 'Add' button
- Give the new extension the desired description
- Indicate which extension it concerns
- Then press save
